Twelve hours ago, the meteorites from the exploded moon Wegthor fall down on Kandor. In the guild, Lis-Ser reports to Zod that there is a civil unrest and that the people for the answers, but he doesn't care and wishes to find any rebels to destroy them. Lis opens to him communications and Zod speaks to Val, the latter telling him to surrender, but Zod doesn't accept it at any cost.

On the rebel's ship, Adam is recovering on the bed, having some sedatives to ease his leg injury. Adam shows to Nyssa his Zeta-Beam device, whishing to return in the time when he was not injured, but knows that it would be risky to do it and does not want to do it. After telling Nyssa about device and his relationship with Sardath and Alanna, he sleeps.

On the Outlands outpost, Dev and Rayna drink in their sorrow, believing that they lost comrades and that they are last rebels.

In the space with moon's remains, Seg's skimmer is active as Seg managed to escape moon's destruction. He contacts anyone who can find him, soon getting to the rebel's ship when Val hears it. He gives them a coordinates to rendezvous in Outlands, near New Lurvan bar.

As Adam awakened in the ship, he noticed Nyssa touching his device and warned her not to meddle with it. Nyssa decides to find Sardath, but Adam calls Val for help. She explains them that, in addition of moon's destruction and the lack of stelarium, she wants to go back in time when Brainiac took her son in the Fortress. They try to persuade her, but activates the device and disappears from them, landing somewhere on Rann.

Back on the Outlands outpost, Lyta heard the conversation of Jayna and Dev and knows that Wegthor was gone. Despite what she heard, Lyta decides that they must do something with Zod, also telling that they have a support of two Sagitari, Thur and Pline, who spread the news to others that the real Lyta is alive and that the support of Dru in Kandor is weakening. She thinks that they must lure him out to separate him from the Sagitari loyalists. Soon after, Seg and the rebels come to the outpost. As they prepare for the plan, Seg notices that Nyssa is missing and asks Adam for her.

General Zod hears from the Sagitari colonel Dahl that the rebels are in the Outlands, also having Sagitari Thur as a captive as he discovered that Thur changed allegiance. When questioning and beating him, Thur says "New Lurvan". Soon after, Zod slits his throat, killing him.

On Rann, Nyssa encounters a survivor who is severely burned and soon dies.

On the outpost, Val puts Adam to rest despite Adam's pleas to help them. After Adam tells about his family and now calling Seg and Val a new family, Val promises to help him in every situation. When Lyta tells everyone about own plans, she contacts Pline for the progress, but the latter warns that they were compromised and that Thur was arrested, unaware that he was killed. Lyta tells her to hide, but Pline is shot by Sagitari. Stuck in the situation, Seg suggests to lure Sagitari soldiers here, while Kandor will be relatively unguarded to defend, thus getting access to Zod. Seg leaves them, while others prepare for the battle. Seg comes to confront Zod, telling the citizens that he is a liar and a manipulator, in addition to his treatment to the citizens by using a somatic reconditioning in the chamber to disable their will and decisions. But Seg was not alone as Lyta also showed them to the crowd as alive and explaining his treatment to her. When hearing all of this, colonel Dahl changes the side, followed by other Sagitari and citizens. Seg and Zod fight against each other, but Lyta also tries to stop him. Seg finally beats him on the ground and tries to suffocate him, but Lyta refrains him from it. Lyta orders Dahl to abort the units on New Lurvan, which he does. As Seg and Lyta don't wish to kill him, nor that the Phantom Zone was enough to stop him, they decide to put a Black Mercy so they could keep him as long as possible.

In New Lurvan bar, Jayna and Dev celebrate a victory while Val tells them that he scanned a heat signatures near the impact of meteorites, implying that there could be other Wegthor survivors. Val comes Adam and tells him that he has something that Adam will like it. Seg finds Val drunk and sees Adam recovered, as Val put a braces for his legs. Adam activates a jet pack, but falls on the ground, while Val laughs wildly. Curious, Seg notices Lobo in the bar. Lobo tells him that Brainiac is alive and begs him for help. Seg agrees if he helps to find own son who was kidnapped, Jor-El.

Outside of the bar, Jayna and Dev discover somethin very disturbing: frozen Doomsday, who somehow survived moon's destruction.

On Rann, she notices a strange red sign near the cave and looks up on the sky, noticing an unidentified alien creatures with their wings.
