Mal is a member of Black Zero group.
Biography[]
Mal was guarding a prison door within Black Zero HQ during the discussion between Jax-Ur and Daron-Vex. After she interrogated and tortured him, Daron approached him to beg him free. Mal declined his offer (even the chance to make him rich), also telling him that his family died during Xarxas outbreak, all medications rationed to Guilded. Daron grabed and begged him again for freedom, but Mal declined. Unknowingly to him, Daron stole his small key and escaped from their HQ. Mal later informed Jax-Ur about his escape, but seemed not to be worried as she modified the torture device on remote for greater distances and activated it on Daron's neck when riding a skimmer, the latter falling somewhere in Outlands.[1]
When Brainiac's ship arrived to collect Kandor, Jax-Ur began to evacuate all her operatives to somewhere else. While Mal was skeptical because all those who wanted to escape with skimmers were destroyed when escaping from the town, Jax told him to go on foot, through the Outlands and going to Kryptonopolis. Before this, she and Mal went to Genesis Chamber to take the Codex as a means to their survival. When they arrived, they also saw Nyssa-Vex, who wanted to take own child Cor-Vex. She ordered Mal to take the Codex and wait somewhere in Kryptonopolis when the situation is right, while she stayed with Nyssa to show her true origins as a clone, who was created by Jax.[2]
