Junra was a member of Anireh's Cythonnite sect.
Biography[]
Junra and his comrades found Seg-El and their missing member Raika in icy tunnels. They took them to their lair and leader Anireh. Junra recognised Seg to be a member of House of El; as a result, he was distrusted to him, considering him to be dangerous, but Anireh silenced his opinion after realising that Seg helped to rescue Raika and also due to his kindness despite coming from House of El, also offering him to heal his wounds.[1] Junra and his comrades later killed Sagitari soldier Tai-Un, but spared the shackled Adam Strange because of his knowledge of their future. He, Raika and Anireh came to the place where the door with hybrid sigel of two family houses of El and Zod was found in underground tunnels, guarded by city dwellers. Anireh and Raika revealed to Seg, Lyta and Dru-Zod that the sect knew the secret of the weapon that could kill Brainiac contained in the room - in the form of terrifying creature named Doomsday created by El and Zod 1000 cycles ago. Zod wanted to obtain it, but the sect did not want to allow it, resulting in armed conflict between them. Seg, Lyta, Strange and Zod escaped, while Junra, Raika, Anireh and surviving soldiers retreated from the place.[2] Despite their conflict, Seg and Raika informed them about Dru's second attempt to take this weapon again, prompting them to remove it. Junra and others noticed that the barrier field on the capsule was damaged, fearing that Doomsday might awaken. As Brainiac attempted to "bottle" Kandor, Raika and Junra took the weapon to destroy their enemy.[3]
After the war with Brainiac and subsequent rise to power of General Zod, many members of the sect were presumably scattered or killed by Doomsday, as revealed by captured Raika from Zod's forces.[4]
