"House of El" is the second episode of Krypton. It aired on March 28, 2018.
Synopsis[]
After suffering a tragedy, Seg is forced to adjust to a new life, a new rank and a new threat.[1]
Plot[]
Despite Adam Strange's claims, Seg-El does not believe him, even with Kal-El's future cape present in the Fortress of Solitude. Seg wants proof from Adam. Meanwhile, the Sagitari prepare to raid the Rankless District in an effort to locate the terrorist group Black Zero. However, Lyta-Zod wants the Sagitari to adopt a more diplomatic approach, but since she is a cadet she has no influence over command decisions.
After visiting his soon to be father-in-law, Daron-Vex, Seg gets assigned to the Science Guild and the chance to look through scientific reports. Adam uses the data to locate somewhere in the Outlands that might be able to provide proof of his claims that Brainiac is coming.
Lyta challenges her commanding officer to a duel, one in which if she wins, she takes the commander's place. But the duel is to the death. Lyta wins and kills her opponent, and ascends to the rank of commander.
In the Outlands, Adam Strange and Kem check out a meteorological anomaly that struck Krypton three days previously. In the Fortress of Solitude, Seg activates a holographic recreation of Val-El left behind to help guide Seg. Adam and Kem find proof that Brainiac is coming; a sentry that he sends before him to prepare the planet for his arrival.
