The Genesis Chamber is a birthing facility located in Kandor City.

History[]

Seg-El and Nyssa-Vex visited the Genesis Chamber, using the Oracle to foresee how their potential future child would turn out.[1]

When Brainiac infiltrated Kandor, he used the Genesis Chamber to absorb the life forces of the embryos in order to become more powerful. Seg, Jayna and Dru-Zod infiltrated and killed several guards, also apparently killing Brainiac here.[2]

Jax-Ur, the leader of Black Zero, entered the chamber and activated the Vara Protocol, containing the clones from various Rank houses, as she wanted to strip the power of Rank people in Kandor and take the Codex.[3]

When Nyssa feared for the wellbeing of her and Seg's son, Cor-Vex, she threatened the computer system Oracle in order to release her son's embryo pod. After getting it, Jax-Ur and Mal met in chamber. While Mal left the place with Codex, Jax talked with Nyssa about her true origins, Nyssa as a clone of the original who, along with her mother, died in accident when riding on skimmer where she was travelling to Bokos, but the blizzard caught it. The original had a fatal injuries, but there was enough neural activity for fusion of consciousness. Her memories were provided by using implants, as part of somatic precondition. Despite Nyssa's disbelief, Jax also shown to her a work about the Codex, revealing that it was originally intended to cure the diseases and extend the life, but was not enough for elite's houses as they wanted immortality, while Nyssa's father enabled them to manipulate her technology; as once the body is used up, it can be discarded like empty shell, while the consciousness is transferred to the clone. Despite Nyssa's shock, Jax encouraged her to create a new, real life as herself.[4]
